A student from the US has volunteered at a number of different schools in India.
Corey Hunter, a resident of Amherst in Massachusetts, spent three weeks helping children in the Asian country, Amherst Daily News reports.
He decided to embark on the expedition following a similar trip to Honduras in 2009, which he found to be a "very empowering experience".
The second-year pupil at Mount Allison University travelled to Vashundra in January, where he taught at an education establishments with three teachers and six classrooms.
After spending a week-and-a-half there, he moved on to a facility for disabled children, where he helped youngsters with learning difficulties.
His final stop was an outdoor centre in the country's slums, where he read to the kids - many of whom could not speak English - from fairytale books.
It was reported last week that Gemma Lyons, a graduate from Cambridge University, is to volunteer in India as she tries to help improve sanitation in some of the country's most deprived areas.
